It's a Boy!! Welcome Evan Michael Ruddick! : Email from Carol... We are very happy to introduce Evan Michael Ruddick! Born June 10, 2007 at 6:10am -- 8 pounds, 6 ounces; 21 inches Labor was a bit of a tough go for awhile (apparently both our kids wanted to come out face up), but he finally decided to come meet his parents after a bit of a fight. We are all home and adjusting well to life with a new little one in the house. Sleeping babies are a beautiful thing. Maya seems to be enjoying giving her baby brother lots of hugs and kisses...at least for the time being. We hope you can meet the little guy soon. Love, Carol, Mike & Maya

Easter Egg Hunt : Wednesday, April 4th, 2007 - Occam Networks Easter Egg Hunt put on by the wonderful staff of the HR Department! Way to go girls! We had a blast! ...and I was lucky enough to find 3 of the BIG-EE-BIG eggs hiding in the most "interesting" places. I walked away with a good amount of chocolate eggs and jelly beans... but the cold hard $65 in cash was truly the SWEEEET-est!

The Santa Barbara Event Professionals first inaugural fundraiser benefiting the Sansum Diabetes Research Institute. Our volunteers, SBEP members and SDRI staff as well as generous members of our community donated their inspiration, creativity, and expertise to create, produce and underwrite this fundraiser. We would also like to thank everyone a the Ty Warner Sea Center for donating this wondeful museum for our event. We had delicious world cuisine from Asia, Polynesia, North Africa, Europe & Latin America...exotic drinks and live entertainment!

AIDS WALK 2006 : Saturday, October 7th, 2006 @ Leadbetter Beach, Santa Barbara - The Pacific Pride Foundation and all of its wonderful volunteers raised $125,318!! (UPDATE: now over $130k!!)Congratulations! This is the 3rd time that Scott Malo (my "now" husband) has played "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" IZ style during the balloon ceremony. Check him out at www.ukuleleguy.com There weren't any mic stands, so the awesome sound guy rigged a set-up using a dolly, drumstick and duct-tape! Nice!
